About this position
The Center for Applied NanoBioscience and Medicine (ANBM) at the University of Arizona (College of Medicine-Phoenix) is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate in biomedical engineering, microfluidics, microphysiological systems, and organs-on-a-chip.
The position focuses on developing and studying microfluidic and microphysiological platforms that reproduce human tissues and organs to investigate human (patho)physiology and support personalized medicine. Research activities include cell biology, tissue engineering, microfabrication, biomaterials, point-of-care diagnostics, and New Approach Methodologies (NAMs). The role is highly multidisciplinary and involves collaboration with biologists, chemists, physicists, electrical and mechanical engineers, and clinicians.
Applicants should have a PhD or MD-PhD in biomedical engineering, biophysics, nanobiotechnology, molecular and cellular biology, or a related field. The post requires prior laboratory research experience and peer-reviewed publications. Preferred experience includes computational fluid dynamics, rapid prototyping, polymer-based device assembly, microfluidic device characterization and validation, cancer and/or immunology, stem cells, 3D co-culture/organoids, imaging, flow cytometry, gene/protein expression, omics tools, and statistical/computational analysis, bioinformatics, or AI/ML.
This is a full-time research appointment with salary based on NIH guidelines and experience. Full benefits are included, and visa sponsorship is available. The posting is open until filled.
