About this position
Texas A&M University is recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Oceanography within the Carbon Cycle and Earth Environment (CACEE) Lab in the Department of Oceanography. The project is part of the Global Ocean and Land Alkalinization (GOAL-A) initiative, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Earth Shot program and carried out with collaborators at Yale, Georgia Tech, Princeton, and Texas A&M.
The research focuses on enhanced terrestrial weathering and how downstream carbon cycling responds in interconnected river–lake–groundwater–atmosphere–sediment systems. The successful candidate will develop dynamic river-lake network models to study geochemical and ecological change, including elemental fluxes and aquatic biogeochemistry, and will contribute to manuscripts, conference presentations, and collaborative multi-institutional research.
