About this position
The University of Oxford is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Economics to undertake high-quality independent research in the broad field of business taxation.
The fellow will manage grant-funded research activities under the direction of the Centre Director and work alongside senior colleagues. The role involves developing original economic research, producing policy-related outputs, contributing to collaborative projects, and participating in the wider intellectual life of the Centre.
The position combines substantial independence with responsibility for coordinating research activities, resources, and timelines. The fellow may also contribute to research funding, teaching, knowledge exchange, and the Centre’s external profile. With ample time available for independent research, the fellowship is particularly suited to a recent PhD graduate aiming to build a strong portfolio of papers before entering the academic job market.
The research environment brings together independent scholarship, applied economics, tax policy, grant-funded projects, and engagement with policy and external partners.
