About this position
Harvard Medical School’s Department of Immunology is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the von Andrian laboratory in Boston, Massachusetts.
The lab studies the molecular mechanisms that control immune cell migration and homing in lymphoid and non-lymphoid tissues. Research uses intravital microscopy to examine immune-cell behavior in living tissues, with opportunities to investigate related questions in immunology, cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, pharmacology, and computational biology.
The successful fellow will work with Dr. von Andrian to develop an independent research project within the laboratory’s research scope. The position also offers participation in grant and manuscript writing, teaching and mentoring of lab members, fellowship-funding activities, and the collaborative operations of the laboratory.
The group welcomes recent PhD graduates interested in immune cell trafficking or related research, especially candidates who can contribute a new technology or perspective to the lab’s work.
