About this position
Kyushu University’s Graduate School of Mathematics is recruiting a full-time postdoctoral research fellow for a JST CREST project titled “New Developments in Intervention Prediction Opened Up by Path Theory.” The project is part of the research area “Creation of Mathematical Scientific Foundations for Prediction and Control.”
Based in the Faculty of Mathematics, the successful researcher will investigate mathematical and theoretical aspects of intervention prediction under the leadership of Yuzuru Inahama. The work is aimed at applicants with a broad background in probability theory and will focus primarily on rough path theory, signature theory, or related problems in probability theory.
The researcher will join the Graduate School of Mathematics at Kyushu University and contribute to an interdisciplinary mathematical research environment concerned with prediction, control, and the development of rigorous theoretical foundations. The broader project is led by Principal Investigator Motoya Onishi under JST CREST.
This is a fixed-term, non-tenure-track research appointment in Fukuoka, Japan.
