Research keywords include laser, microscope, optogenetics, optical measurement, ablation, computer-generated hologram, data analysis, and system control. The successful candidate will work on interdisciplinary research combining optics, biological/medical science, and information science, within one or both JST CREST projects related to organ engineering and central nervous system measurement.
Applicants must have a doctoral degree or expect to obtain one by the hiring date. Preferred backgrounds include lasers, optical imaging, optogenetics, cell culture and manipulation, image/information processing, machine learning, or system control. The institute especially welcomes candidates who are eager to learn beyond their current specialization.
This is a fixed-term contract position. Salary starts at 4 million yen per year, with additional allowances such as commuting and housing support, plus social insurance. The work location is Wako Campus, Saitama Prefecture, Japan.
