About this position
Postdoctoral Research Scholar in the Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Dr. Mohammad Farazmand is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to work at the intersection of dynamical systems, data assimilation, and scientific machine learning. The project is focused on estimating the state of dynamical systems from sparse observational time series, while combining data-driven approaches with high-fidelity and/or reduced-order models of the underlying system.
The appointed scholar will contribute to the development and mathematical analysis of novel methodologies for data assimilation and reduced-order modeling. The work is described as being in close collaboration with Dr. Farazmand, within his research program supported by his research grants.
This is a research-focused postdoctoral opportunity in an applied mathematics environment, with emphasis on rigorous analysis, modeling, and computational approaches to complex dynamical systems.
