About this position
The PACE Lab (Predictive Atomistic Computations for Electrochemistry) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga is recruiting for two opportunities: a Postdoctoral Researcher and a funded M.S. position.
The postdoctoral project focuses on machine learning interatomic potentials (MLIPs) for electrochemistry, with applications to electrochemical interfaces and energy materials. Strong candidates will have experience in DFT, molecular dynamics, machine learning, and computational electrochemistry.
The funded M.S. opening is in Mechanical Engineering and is aimed at students interested in computational materials and electrochemistry. Applicants from Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior computational experience is helpful but not required, but strong motivation to learn computational materials modeling is desired.
This opportunity is based at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in the United States. Interested candidates are asked to contact Rahul Jayan directly with a CV; postdoctoral applicants should also include a brief statement of research interests and relevant experience.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
