About this position
This postdoctoral position supports the project Data-Driven Organizational Skill Networks: Developing a Master Skill Map for Workforce Capability and Gap Analysis at Stevens Institute of Technology. The researcher will work on methods for identifying, extracting, normalizing, and analyzing workforce skills from heterogeneous organizational datasets, with the goal of building organizational skill networks and integrating them into a broader Master Skill Map.
The project is strongly computational and data-driven. The postdoc will develop approaches using natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and network analytics to study how skills are represented across organizations and how those skill patterns can be compared. The work also includes designing quantitative metrics to measure skill coverage, organizational strengths, emerging capabilities, and workforce skill gaps.
In addition to core method development, the role includes data collection and validation, comparative organizational analysis, interactive visualization, technical documentation, research reporting, and scholarly publication. The position is based in the Department of Enterprise Science and Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology, a private research university in Hoboken, New Jersey.
The appointment is oriented toward building computational tools and analytical insight for workforce capability analysis, combining NLP, AI, and network-based research with applied organizational data.
