About this position

Postdoctoral Researcher – Multi-Processing Design Space Exploration for 6G Wireless Systems

IETR (Université de Rennes & INSA Rennes, CNRS UMR 6164) is recruiting for a 2-year postdoctoral position within the NEXCOM Project in France. The project focuses on the joint optimization of computation and communication for future 6G wireless systems, with an emphasis on distributed multiprocessor design and design space exploration (DSE).

The research includes extending dataflow-based architecture models such as PREESM with tunable wireless communication parameters, developing DSE methodologies for distributed multiprocessor systems, optimizing latency, throughput, power consumption, and environmental constraints, and building a proof of concept using software-defined radio (GNU Radio) platforms.

Applicants should have a PhD in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. A strong background in multiprocessor architecture, embedded systems, distributed computing, C/C++, dataflow modelling, DSE, and SDR design is preferred. Excellent English is required.

The position is located at IETR Lab, Beaulieu Campus, University of Rennes, France. It is a full-time postdoc (35 hours/week) for 2 years, with a salary of approximately €2,400 net/month depending on background.

To apply, send a CV and cover letter by email to the listed supervisors before 2 November 2026 at 23:59 Paris time.
