About this position
Postdoctoral Researcher in Neuromodulatory Control of Brain-Wide Networks at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia in Rovereto, Italy.
The Gozzi Laboratory is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to study how basal forebrain circuits control large-scale brain activity and functional network organization in the awake mouse brain. The project combines cell-type-specific manipulations, rodent brain imaging, multimodal recordings, optical imaging, and neuro-computational analysis to understand neuromodulatory control of brain-wide networks.
This opportunity is especially relevant for candidates with interests in neuroscience, brain imaging, functional connectivity, rodent experiments, awake mouse studies, and quantitative analysis of large neural datasets. The lab works at the interface of experimental and computational neuroscience and studies how the brain functions as an integrated network in health and disease.
Requirements include a PhD in Neuroscience, Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field; strong experimental neuroscience skills; prior rodent experience; and the ability to analyze and interpret complex biological datasets. Experience with in vivo imaging, circuit manipulations, viral/vector-based methods, and MATLAB/Python/R is a plus.
The position is a post-doctoral position with a 2-year renewable contract. The post states the work location as Rovereto, Italy. No stipend amount is listed.
How to apply: send a detailed CV with publication list, a short statement of research interests and fit, and contact details for two academic referees to [email protected].
