The University of Luxembourg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for a position in Regulatory Compliance & Requirement Engineering within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT). The SnT is a leading international research and innovation centre focused on secure, reliable, and trustworthy ICT systems and services. This postdoc opportunity is part of a collaborative research project with the European Investment Bank (EIB) group, supported by the STAREBEI program, and will be based in the SVV research group led by Prof. Domenico Bianculli.
The SVV group specializes in the development and design of reliable, safe, and secure software systems, with research activities spanning requirements quality assurance, regulatory compliance, software testing, and runtime verification. The successful candidate will work closely with Prof. Domenico Bianculli, Dr. Sallam Abualhaija, and EIB co-tutors, contributing to research in predefined areas, implementing prototype tools, managing national and international research projects, preparing deliverables, and disseminating results through publications and presentations at international conferences and workshops. Additional responsibilities include providing guidance to PhD, MSc, and BSc students, organizing workshops and demonstrations, and participating in proposal drafting for industrial, national, and European projects.
Applicants should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, or Software Engineering (obtained within the last 36 months) and demonstrate expertise in requirements engineering, natural language processing, text mining, information extraction, machine learning, and document intelligence. Desirable backgrounds include financial technologies, regulatory technologies, and model-driven engineering. Proficiency in Python is required, and experience with Microsoft's AI and Power Platforms is considered an asset. Experience with information extraction from financial contracts or legal documents is a significant advantage. Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are mandatory.
