About this position
University College Dublin is recruiting three postdoctoral researchers for the ERC Advanced Grant programme REVOLVER, led by Rory Johnson. The project applies directed evolution for the first time to long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) to uncover molecular mechanisms and engineer RNAs as a new class of therapeutics for liver disease.
This is a strong opportunity for researchers interested in the intersection of RNA biology, directed evolution, genome editing, translational medicine, and related computational approaches. The team is described as diverse and well-resourced, and each postdoc will lead an independent research area within the programme.
Applicants should hold a PhD and have a strong track record in one or more of: directed evolution or protein/RNA engineering, RNA biology, genome editing, computational genomics, evolutionary biology, fitness landscapes, machine learning for biological sequences, hepatocyte biology, or in vitro disease modelling.
The positions are fully funded for up to 5 years with a competitive salary. The start date is March 2027 or soon after. Location: University College Dublin, Ireland.
To apply, email a brief statement of relevant experience and motivation together with a CV to [email protected] with the subject line REVOLVER PD. Informal enquiries are welcome.
