About this position
This postdoctoral research associate position at the University of Southern California sits within the Keck School of Medicine and focuses on cancer biology in a collaborative genomics and epigenomics research environment.
The trainee will work on dry-lab analysis of in-house sequencing data and the integration of large-scale, multi-dimensional omics datasets. The project emphasizes molecular and computational biology, genomics, and bioinformatics, with opportunities to contribute to multiple research projects under the direction of the principal investigator.
Day-to-day work includes maintaining open-source software, building computational infrastructure, writing scripts for next-generation sequencing analysis, developing web-based tools for data analysis, and preparing presentations and scientific manuscripts. The role is embedded in a multi-lab, team-based setting that supports large consortia efforts aimed at fighting cancer.
The successful candidate will also take on responsibilities in mentoring and teaching other lab members, while contributing to ongoing research output in a highly collaborative academic environment at USC.
