About this position
The University of Southern California’s Chan Division of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy is recruiting a postdoctoral scholar to join the Environmental Adaptations for Better Healthcare Experiences (ENABLE) Lab. The role sits within a multidisciplinary research setting at USC’s Health Sciences Campus and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and centers on research that aims to improve healthcare experiences for children.
The appointed scholar will contribute to an NIDCR-funded clinical trial evaluating sensory-adapted dental environments for children with and without dental fear and anxiety. The work is hands-on and participant-facing, with responsibilities spanning recruitment, screening, consenting and assenting participants, behavioral and physiological data collection, data preparation and analysis, and the maintenance of accurate study records.
The position also includes scientific writing and dissemination activities, including manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and technical reports. In addition to the primary clinical trial, the scholar may contribute to related ENABLE Lab projects and work closely with investigators, research staff, students, and clinical partners to support study implementation and project timelines.
This is a fully on-site, fixed-term research appointment in a lab environment that emphasizes collaboration, professional growth, and translational research in pediatric healthcare.
