Following from the review of the Bhangu lab's 2024, here are my thoughts on about five aims for 2025...

1?? Accelerate Dragon, our cluster randomised trial comparing clinical, cost, carbon outcomes for reusable versus single use drapes and gowns. Dragon opened in late 2024 priming us to work towards our recruitment target of 26,800 patients! Can we get cost and carbon pre-trial models published in 2025? Virginia Ledda , Mwayi Kachapila

2?? Complete data collection for Alligator, a global cohort study led by Teddy Anyomih looking at appendicectomy. Can we get an analysis completed by end of year?

3?? Complete three pilot RCT protocols looking at reducing deaths in em emergency surgery, increasing access to CT imaging, improving antimicrobial stewardship. Can we get these through ethics and launched by end of year? James Glasbey , Elizabeth Li , Sivesh Kamarajah , Liam Phelan , Omar Omar

4?? Continue to develop our understanding of energy security challenges and solutions in the Global South. Cortland Linder
