About this position

A Research Associate is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Ali Khoshnan at the University of Southern California. The project is centered on developing brain organoid models for Huntington’s disease and using these models to test the efficacy of novel biological therapeutics aimed at addressing pathological changes driven by the disease-associated gene.

The role is research-intensive and independent, with the successful candidate planning, designing, and conducting highly technical experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to research outputs such as technical reports and publications. The position supports ongoing projects funded by sponsored grants and will be important for advancing understanding of Huntington’s disease through experimental disease modeling.

The work calls for substantial hands-on experience in cell and molecular biology, systems biology, and advanced tissue culture. It is an opportunity to join a medical and research environment connected to Keck Medicine of USC, where academic research, specialized care, and state-of-the-art facilities are closely integrated.
