About this position
The University of Luxembourg is advertising a postdoctoral position in Requirement Engineering within the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), specifically in the SVV research group led by Prof. Domenico Bianculli, with work in collaboration with Dr. Sallam Abualhaija. The position sits in the FutureFinTech project, funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), and focuses on AI- and software engineering-based approaches for monitoring and verifying compliance of financial services with regulatory requirements.

The role also includes implementing prototype tools, contributing to research projects, preparing deliverables, publishing and presenting results, supporting PhD/MSc/BSc students, organising workshops and demonstrations, and helping draft future research proposals.
The successful candidate should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Informatics, or Software Engineering, have a strong publication record in relevant international conferences and journals, and be proficient in Python. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, independence, teamwork, and excellent English communication skills at C1 level are expected. Experience with legal document information extraction is considered an advantage.
This is a full-time fixed-term postdoctoral contract for 12 months at the Kirchberg Campus in Luxembourg. The annual gross salary is stated as EUR 87,306 for a full-time postdoctoral researcher. Applications are reviewed upon receipt, so early application is encouraged.
