Singapore-Southeast Asia Fellowship (S-SEAF) for PhD Researchers in STEM and Related Fields Agency for Science, Technology and Research in Singapore

Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR) is offering the Singapore-Southeast Asia Fellowship (S-SEAF), a research fellowship designed to strengthen research networks between Singapore and Southeast Asia through talent mobility, knowledge exchange, and collaborative research.

This opportunity is for PhD holders in STEM disciplines who want to conduct research projects at a Singapore host institution (inbound pathway) or, for Singapore-based researchers, at a Southeast Asian host institution (outbound pathway). The fellowship supports research stints of up to 2 years.

Funding: salary support, a monthly living allowance of S$2,000, and airfare (one return economy-class ticket). The fellowship is especially relevant for research aligned with infectious diseases and other priority themes, including manufacturing, trade and connectivity, human health and potential, urban solutions and sustainability, and smart nation and digital economy.

Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a PhD, be fluent in written and spoken English, meet nationality requirements for the inbound/outbound pathway, and be employed by a Singapore institution for the full duration of the award. Applicants must also identify a suitable host institution and obtain institutional endorsement before submission.
