Are you ready to shape the future of sustainable global supply chains? We're recruiting a highly motivated PhD researcher to join a cutting-edge project at Aston University that aims to revolutionise how circular supply chains operate through digital transformation.
?? What’s It About?
This interdisciplinary project explores how emerging technologies like AI, IoT, and blockchain can boost traceability, circularity, and resilience in closed- and open-loop supply chains (COLSC). Despite global progress in digitalisation, applying these smart technologies in circular systems remains a largely untapped frontier—until now.
?? You Will:
Conduct in-depth research and identify critical gaps in digital COLSC
Develop and test innovative frameworks with real-world industrial partners
Collaborate with policymakers and practitioners in a participatory research model
Publish in top-tier journals and contribute to EU funding applications
