About this position
Thomas Jefferson University’s Department of Family and Community Medicine is offering T32 post-doctoral fellowship training through the HRSA-funded Jeff-MAPPP program. The fellowship is designed for post-doctoral scholars interested in research that sits at the intersection of primary care, addiction, serious mental illness, prevention, nutrition, and wellness.
Fellows will join a multidisciplinary research environment focused on developing the next generation of investigators working on urgent community health needs. The program emphasizes structured mentorship, research development, and scholarly productivity, with trainees paired with experienced mentors across several clinical and research areas.
The mentoring network spans family medicine, population health, obstetrics and gynecology, emergency medicine, pharmacology, nursing, and supportive healthcare. The program director is Dr. Erin L. Kelly, and the broader mentor team includes faculty with active experience in research leadership, clinical scholarship, and grant-supported projects.
In addition to individualized mentoring, fellows can participate in the Primary Care Research Center’s research workgroups, creating a lab-like group experience around topics such as primary care innovation, cardiovascular health, lifestyle medicine, cancer prevention, geriatrics, women’s health, and integrated behavioral health.
The fellowship is positioned within Jefferson’s broader research and clinical ecosystem in Philadelphia, giving trainees access to a large academic health system and a department focused on family and community medicine research.
