About this position
McGill University’s Ingram School of Nursing is recruiting a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Health Systems Change and Big Data/AI. This is a faculty appointment in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, with a research focus on nurse-led health systems change, advanced practice nursing, access to care, and measurable improvements in patient and system-level outcomes.
The post is aimed at scholars who can build an independent research program and contribute to undergraduate and graduate teaching, service, and the broader academic mission of the School. The successful candidate will join a period of growth that includes curricular renewal, new research energy, and a new physical space for teaching, simulation, and research.
Research areas and keywords: nursing, health systems transformation, health services research, big data, artificial intelligence, advanced practice, healthcare administration, access to care, patient outcomes, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
Eligibility highlights: applicants should be nurses or have a research focus relevant to nursing, hold a doctorate in a health-related discipline, and have a strong publication record. Competitive external research funding experience is an asset. The School also prefers candidates with demonstrated commitment to EDI and with fluency in English; working knowledge of French, or willingness to acquire it within a few years, is preferred.
Funding/employment: this is a full-time tenure-track academic job, not a scholarship. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
How to apply: submit a cover letter, CV, statement of research, and the names/contact information of three referees through the McGill Workday application portal. The post links directly to the job page for full details.
Funding details
Full funding including tuition fees and living expenses is available for this position. The scholarship covers all educational costs and provides a monthly stipend.
