Part-Time Research Assistant in Mechanical/Environmental Engineering for Bio-inspired Water Desalination Systems

De Montfort University Dubai is inviting applications for a Part-Time Research Assistant in Mechanical Engineering / Environmental Engineering for a funded international research project supported by the Dubai Future Foundation in collaboration with KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology). The project focuses on bio-inspired water desalination systems , with research activities spanning membrane distillation , experimental thermal-fluid systems, computational modelling, data analysis, and AI-assisted engineering approaches. The role is research-focused and has no teaching responsibilities . Successful candidates will support experimental setup development, laboratory investigations, performance evaluation, simulation/modelling, technical reporting, and dissemination through journal papers and conference publications. The position is based at De Montfort University Dubai in the United Arab Emirates , and the work is primarily on-site. Eligibility highlights: minimum BSc in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
