NIH-funded postdoctoral position available in ocular drug delivery and pharmacology at the University of Arizona , with research focused on the development of nanoformulations for improved treatment of ocular herpes simplex virus infections . The project is part of NEI-funded research in the R.K. Coit College of Pharmacy and is a strong fit for candidates interested in pharmaceutical sciences , ophthalmic drug delivery , ocular pharmacokinetics , and translational studies of antiviral/antibacterial therapies for eye disease. Preferred experience includes conducting ocular pharmacokinetics studies in rats and/or rabbits and evaluating the efficacy of drugs or nanoformulations in viral or bacterial infections of the eye .
