Adam Szewczyk is the Head of the Laboratory at the Instytut Biologii Doswiadczalnej im M Nenckiego Polskiej Akademii Nauk in Poland. His research focuses on mitochondrial potassium channels, synthesis of phosphonium salts, and the behavior of nanostructured bilayers with channel proteins. Recent publications include works on dye localization in mitochondria and the effects of viscosity on polarized dyes. Szewczyk also commemorated the contributions of Professor Jakub Karol Parnas on his 140th birth anniversary.
