Ahmed Elsharkawy is a Research Assistant Professor at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea. His recent research focuses on robotics, particularly in the development of indoor robotic systems utilizing ultra-wideband (UWB) technology for applications in user interaction and augmented reality. He has contributed to the design of visual speech recognition architectures and frameworks for human-robot interaction.
