Postdoctoral Positions in Ciliary Biology at Harvard Medical School (Brown Lab)

Harvard Medical School’s Brown Lab is recruiting postdoctoral fellows for ciliary biology research in the Department of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology (BCMP). The lab studies the biology of cilia and ciliopathies using structural biology , biophysics , and biochemistry approaches. Projects may involve one or more of the following methods: genetic engineering , native purification , in vitro reconstitution , TIRF microscopy , single-particle cryo-EM , FIB milling , and in situ tomography . The team is looking for talented researchers who can bring new technology or perspective to the lab’s work. Eligibility highlights include a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in biochemistry, structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, molecular biology, or a related field. Applicants should have at least one peer-reviewed first-author manuscript , strong communication and teamwork skills, and a solid background in one or more of the listed techniques. The appointment is salaried and benefits eligible . Salary depends on years post-PhD. The role is initially a one-year term with the possibility of extension based on performance, business need, and continued funding. The successful candidate is also expected to pursue fellowship funding and contribute to grants, manuscripts, teaching, mentoring, and lab operations. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis . To apply, submit a CV, a summary of PhD research, a cover letter with your interest and initial research ideas, and a reference document with contact details for three referees through the ARIeS portal.
