Alexander Vakakis

Alexander Vakakis is the Grayce Wicall Gauthier Professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. His research focuses on nonlinear vibration metamaterials, nonlinear energy sinks, and topological wave propagation, as evidenced by his recent articles. He has contributed significantly to the understanding of spectral energy scattering and targeted energy transfer in phononic lattices, as well as the effects of nonlinear resonators on wave behavior.
