Alkistis Skalkidou

Professor Alkistis Skalkidou is a faculty member at Uppsala Universitet in Sweden. Her research primarily focuses on perinatal mental health, including depressive symptoms during pregnancy and postpartum, as well as the impact of psychosocial factors on maternal well-being. Recent studies include investigations into the effects of information sources on pregnancy-related anxiety and the use of mHealth apps to support pregnant women. She also conducts longitudinal studies assessing neurodevelopmental delays and biomarkers related to perinatal depression.
