Dr. Amaia Orbea del Rey is an Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU in Spain. Her research focuses on the effects of various nanomaterials and microplastics on aquatic organisms, particularly adult zebrafish and brine shrimp larvae. Recent publications include studies on the toxicity of polystyrene nano- and microplastics, sustainable nanocomposites, and the biological effects of heavy metal exposure. She is committed to advancing the understanding of environmental pollutants' impact on aquatic ecosystems.
