Fully funded PhD opportunity with a teaching assistantship at the School of Psychology, University of Birmingham . The project is titled Implicit Theory of Mind in Bilingual Infancy and investigates how bilingual experience shapes the earliest development of social cognition and Theory of Mind. The position is a strong fit for applicants interested in Psychology , Cognitive Science , Neuroscience , developmental research, infant cognition, bilingualism, and EEG-based methods. Funding: Fully funded tuition fees and stipend are offered, together with a 4-year PhD programme and substantial teaching responsibilities across the first 3 years. The post also includes training in university teaching and opportunities to gain nationally recognised teaching qualifications (AFHEA/FHEA). Note that the funding does not cover international tuition fees; international applicants are welcome but must cover the fee difference (approximately £20,000 per year for 4 years). Eligibility highlights: strong academic background in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, or a related discipline; strong interest in social cognition in infancy and bilingualism; desirable experience with EEG, developmental research, coding, or advanced data analysis; excellent English language skills; strong organisational and interpersonal skills; teaching experience such as tutoring or coaching.
