A fully funded PhD studentship is available for a unique, interdisciplinary project focused on advancing pre-hospital care in mountain rescue settings using motion capture technology. The project, titled 'Managing Cervical Spine Injuries in Mountain Rescue: Optimising Emergency Response Methods,' aims to assess and improve spinal immobilisation techniques in challenging environments, with the potential to directly influence clinical practice in remote trauma care. The studentship is match-funded between Bournemouth University and Bangor University, and the supervisory team includes Andrew Callaway (Principal Lecturer, Bournemouth University), Dr Debora Almeida (Bournemouth University), Dr Melissa Jones (Bangor University), and Prof Jamie Macdonald (Bangor University).
