Dr. Andrey Kaplan is an Assistant Professor at the University of Birmingham, UK. His research focuses on the active control of mid-wavelength infrared non-linearity in silicon photonic structures, as well as the chemical kinetics involved in metal atom and nanocluster formation on surfaces. Additionally, he explores non-radiative recombination in silicon nanocrystals and the localized plasmon field effects of gold clusters in nanostructured materials.
