About

António Pinheiro is a Professor at Universidade de Lisboa, Instituto Superior Técnico in Portugal. His research focuses on the ecological effects of hydropower operations on fish populations, with recent publications addressing hydraulic cues, fishway designs, and habitat use in relation to flow dynamics. He utilizes both experimental and modeling approaches to assess the performance of fish in various aquatic environments.
