Astrid Camilla Wiig is an Associate Professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway. Her research focuses on maritime education, with particular emphasis on student engagement in simulations, the evolution of instructional expertise in healthcare simulations, and innovative uses of cloud-based desktop simulators. Recent publications include analyses of competition framing in maritime simulations and a review of simulator-based training and assessment in the maritime field.
