Birgitta Öberg

Birgitta Öberg is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Science in Sweden. Her research focuses on treatment adherence and patient perceptions in physiotherapy, particularly in low back pain care and cardiac rehabilitation. She has contributed significantly to understanding the effectiveness of best practice models and behavioral interventions in physiotherapy. Her recent publications include studies on illness perceptions and self-care enablement as mediators in treatment outcomes.
