About
Brian Seger is an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Denmark. His research focuses on the electrochemical technologies and reaction mechanisms associated with CO2 electrolysis, cation dynamics in electrolyzers, and the synthesis of small organic chemicals via electrochemical methods. Brian has contributed to various studies exploring the effects of electrolytes and material protection in photoelectrochemical processes.

Brian Seger, Professor at Technical University of Denmark (DTU Physics) , is advertising an open 2-year postdoc position in experimental electrocatalytic synthesis as part of the CAPeX center . The project is unusual and highly research-driven: instead of working on established topics such as water electrolysis, CO2 electrolysis, nitrate reduction, or furfural partial oxidation, the postdoc will help develop a completely new electrosynthesis reaction . The goal is to identify a reaction with economic viability while building the fundamental scientific understanding needed to evaluate its catalytic potential and catalytic environment. Applicants are expected to bring a strong idea for a new reaction and the ability to implement it reliably. The proposed project must fit within the CAPeX center and Brian Seger’s group infrastructure and expertise. This is a good fit for researchers interested in chemistry , electrocatalysis , catalysis , and reaction development at the interface of fundamental and applied research. The post links to an external application page for Postdoc in Creative Electrosynthesis Reactions - DTU Physics . No deadline, stipend amount, or additional funding details are stated in the post.
