The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher for a project funded by the ANRF-ARG grant. The project, led by Assistant Professor Chandra Prakash and Dr. Prabhat Kumar, focuses on the design and development of composite structures for high-velocity impact energy absorption and dissipation using multiscale topology optimization. The research will involve computational mechanics, multiscale modeling, and the development of novel optimization frameworks for composite materials. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing, Production, Materials Engineering, or related fields. Desirable skills include experience in multiscale modeling, topology optimization, finite element code development (C++/Fortran/Python), and familiarity with FE packages.
