Chris Voigt

Postdoctoral position at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in a collaborative project spanning synthetic biology , DNA circuit design , immune cell engineering , and genome engineering . The role is with the Galloway, Voigt, and Birnbaum Labs and is described as a highly collaborative opportunity to engineer human cells and address challenges in genome engineering. Research areas: eukaryotic cell engineering, mammalian systems, molecular cloning, mammalian tissue culture, immunology, primary cell work, molecular biology, and microscopy. Eligibility: applicants should hold a PhD in bioengineering, chemical/biological sciences, or a related field, and should demonstrate capability in eukaryotic cell engineering; mammalian systems are preferred. Application: email a cover letter, CV with 1–3 references (or letters sent separately), and 1–3 representative papers to the listed contact email. Use the specified subject line for the application email.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology is advertising postdoctoral opportunities in an interdisciplinary project on agrochemicals , synthetic biology , artificial intelligence , directed evolution , and ultra-high-throughput automated screening . The work aims to rethink how agrochemicals are designed and deployed, with a strong focus on food security and on reducing harmful effects on health and the environment. The project is highly collaborative and will involve work with Chris Voigt’s group, as well as Connor W. Coley, Regina Barzilay, Alexander Tropsha, and Angela Koehler. Translation partners in academia and industry, including the University of Tennessee and the University of Illinois, will help test designed molecules in the field, so the role appears to connect fundamental research with real-world application. This is a five-year ARPA-H-funded project . No stipend, tuition, or other financial details are stated in the post, but the openings are clearly presented as funded postdoc positions. Applicants should follow the application instructions at the linked page. The post does not list a deadline, eligibility checklist, or specific degree requirements beyond the postdoctoral level.
