About

Christopher Baker is an Associate Professor at Jackson Laboratory in the United States. His research focuses on systems genetics, particularly the influence of expression quantitative trait loci (eQTLs) in mouse embryonic stem cells and their role in transcriptional variation of differentiated neural progenitor cells. He has also contributed to the understanding of 3D genome structure and the genetic control of the pluripotency epigenome. His recent work includes studies on chromatin dynamics at meiotic recombination hot spots.
