Daniel Meier is a Chaire Professeur Junior in the field of Géopolitique des frontières at Sciences Po Grenoble, France. His research interests focus on border security management in the MENA region, ethical considerations in Iraqi Kurdistan, and the complexity of 'disputed territories' in northern Iraq. He has published recent articles that explore conceptual reflections on in-between spaces in the Levant and models of coordination and cooperation in border security.
