PhD in Nanoplatforms and Oncolytic Viruses for Cancer Immunotherapy (Glioblastoma)

Call for applications for 2 PhD/doctoral candidates in the MSCA Doctoral Network INTRABRAIN at the University of Naples Federico II , Italy. The project is titled Nanoplatforms and Oncolytic Viruses for Novel Cancer Immunotherapy Strategies and focuses on glioblastoma (GBM) , nanomedicine , virotherapy , cancer immunotherapy , biomaterials , and advanced drug delivery to the brain. The network aims to develop innovative nanoparticle-based and oncolytic virus-enhanced strategies to overcome immune evasion, the blood-brain barrier, and the limitations of conventional therapies. Successful candidates will join the Department of Molecular Medicine and Medical Biotechnology and work under the supervision of Prof. Gerolama Condorelli and Prof. Danilo Fiore . The network includes academic and private-sector partners across Europe and offers interdisciplinary training in nanomedicine, oncolytic virotherapy, cancer immunotherapy, biomaterials engineering, translational research, entrepreneurship, communication, and project management. Eligibility highlights: a Master’s degree in Medicine, Medical Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field; no doctoral degree at recruitment; compliance with the MSCA mobility rule; and high proficiency in English. Experience with nucleic acids or cancer cells is preferred. Funding: MSCA living and mobility allowances in line with EU standards, with a family allowance if applicable. The project also includes mandatory international secondments and a strong multidisciplinary training environment.
