Dave Stegman

Dave Stegman is a Professor of Geophysics at the University of California San Diego Scripps Institution of Oceanography. His research focuses on the geodynamic processes related to subduction, including modeling trench retreat and the evolution of ocean basins. He also explores planetary geology, particularly the tectonic mechanisms on Venus and lithospheric recycling. With publications addressing both terrestrial and extraterrestrial geological phenomena, he contributes significantly to our understanding of dynamic geological systems.
