The NYU Nanolab at the New York University Tandon School of Engineering in Brooklyn, NY, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on the development of innovative biosensors for wearable applications. This position offers affiliation with the research groups led by Prof. Davood Shahrjerdi (NYU Nanolab) and Prof. Elisa Riedo (PicoForce Lab), as well as close collaboration with scientists in the NanoBioX Initiative and opportunities to engage with biotech startups in the Future Labs Incubator. The successful candidate will focus on fabricating and characterizing field-effect transistor biosensors designed to sense target analytes in sweat, contributing to the advancement of wearable health monitoring technologies. The role requires extensive experience in nanofabrication of electronic devices, including cleanroom techniques such as e-beam lithography, electron-beam deposition, etching, and metrology methods like atomic force microscopy (AFM). A strong understanding of the physics of field-effect transistors is essential. The position is based at NYU Tandon School of Engineering and offers a one-year contract with the possibility of extension. The annual base salary is $62,500, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Applicants must hold a PhD in physics, electrical engineering, or a nanotechnology-related field, and should demonstrate creativity, independence, motivation, and strong communication skills.
