Postdoctoral Position in Computer Science, AI, and Healthcare Innovation at IIT Bombay

The CMT Lab at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, led by Prof. Deepak Agrawal, is inviting applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in Computer Science, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Healthcare Innovation. The selected candidate will engage in cutting-edge research at the intersection of AI and healthcare, including disease prediction and risk modeling, medical imaging and diagnostic support, personalized medicine, and clinical decision support systems. Applicants must hold a B.Tech in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and a Ph.D. in AI, ML, DL, or Computer Science. At least one Q1 first-author publication and proven experience in AI/ML algorithm development are required. Candidates with wet lab–based PhD work or PhDs in other disciplines will not be considered. The position is highly competitive and intended for candidates with a strong research background in computational and data-driven healthcare innovation. The postdoctoral fellowship at IIT Bombay offers a one-year appointment, with the possibility of extension for a second year based on performance. The fellowship includes a stipend (see IITB website for details), 30 days of earned leave per year, OPD medical treatment, and support for one international and one national conference during the tenure. Office workspace is provided, and the research environment is collaborative and interdisciplinary.
