Dirk Schüler

Dr. Dirk Schüler is a Full Professor and Head at Universität Bayreuth, Germany. His research focuses on the biosynthesis and functionality of magnetic organelles in magnetotactic bacteria, as well as the genetic transfer mechanisms related to these organelles. Recent publications include studies on diverse actin-like proteins, colloidal stabilities of iron oxide nanoparticles, and the transcriptional landscape of magnetosome gene clusters. His work contributes significantly to the understanding of bacterial magnetosomes and their potential applications.
