Dorota Sands is the Head of Department at the Instytut Matki i Dziecka in Poland. Her research focuses on cystic fibrosis, particularly in areas such as newborn screening, the availability of CFTR modulators, and nutritional improvements. Recent publications include studies on the challenges of bloodspot screening and clinical complications related to false-negative results in children. Dr. Sands aims to enhance understanding and management of cystic fibrosis within the Eastern European context.
