The Roslin Foundation is offering fully funded PhD studentships at the Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, for outstanding students interested in world-leading research in animal health, livestock production, genetics, and related biosciences. These 4-year studentships provide an enhanced stipend above the UKRI minimum, a generous research and training budget, and a travel allowance to support attendance at conferences and seminars. The program is open to both UK and international students, with tuition fees fully covered.
Research areas span a wide range of topics, including animal health, veterinary science, genomics, epidemiology, zoonotic diseases, One Health approaches, livestock production, and biomedical research. Example projects include studies on the evolution of territorial boundaries, epidemiology of snakebite injury, genomics of immune resilience in cattle, molecular basis of zoonotic infections, behavioral science in livestock farming, and the genomics of important livestock pathogens.
