King George's Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, is inviting applications for a full-time PhD Research Scientist 1 position in the Department of Radiodiagnosis. This opportunity is part of an ICMR-funded CAR project titled "Development and validation of AI and multiparametric MRI in brain tumor assessment." The project is a multi-institutional collaboration involving KGMU Lucknow, IIT Delhi, FORTIS, NIMHANS, and leading US universities. The research focus is on advanced quantitative imaging and AI modeling for early diagnostics and prognostic monitoring in brain tumors. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in advanced MRI analysis, biomarkers, and clinical datasets, working at the intersection of MRI imaging, artificial intelligence, oncology, and quantitative imaging. The Dwivedi Research Lab at KGMU is dedicated to pioneering advancements in in-vivo magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), spectroscopy (MRS), and the integration of advanced MRI techniques with AI and deep learning technologies. Research areas include radiogenomics, radiomics, deep learning, multiparametric MRI, MR spectroscopy, arterial spin labeling, relaxometry, volumetry, and advanced diffusion MR techniques across various cancer categories and neurological conditions. Applicants must hold an M.Sc., B.Tech., or M.Tech. in Physics, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or an equivalent field. Essential skills include proficiency in MATLAB or Python, and a strong interest in MRI, image processing, machine learning, and cancer biology. The position offers a stipend as per ICMR norms and provides a unique opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary, collaborative environment with exposure to cutting-edge research and clinical translation.
