About
Professor Eiji Akiyama is a faculty member at the Institute for Materials Research, Tohoku University, Japan. His research areas include hydrogen embrittlement resistance in high-entropy alloys, corrosion and stress corrosion cracking in stainless steels, and the effects of solution chemistry on electrochemical hydrogen charging. Recent publications highlight his work on hydrogen desorption in austenitic steels and the mechanisms of stress and plastic strain partitioning in advanced steel materials.
